SEO audit Zurich: see what is really holding your rankings back

An SEO audit checks your website on technology, content, authority and visibility in AI search. With us it does not end in an 80-page PDF but in a list sorted by impact: what is slowing you down, how much work the fix is and what it realistically gains you.

When an audit is worth it

The most common trigger is a contradiction in the numbers: the site collects impressions but almost no clicks. That is rarely caused by the text on the page. It usually means the page sits at position 40, where nobody looks. An audit separates the cases where a few technical corrections are enough from the cases where authority is missing and the road is longer.

Other typical triggers: a relaunch is coming up or has just happened, rankings dropped for no obvious reason, or you want to know whether investing in SEO pays off for your business before you commit a budget.

What we check

Technology

Indexing, redirects, canonicals, load time and Core Web Vitals, structured data, mobile rendering. This is where the quiet errors live. A site reachable over both http and https splits its strength across two addresses without anyone noticing.

Content and search intent

Which page shows up for which terms, and does that page match what the searcher expects? Often several of your own pages compete for the same query, or a single page tries to serve five different intentions at once and wins none of them.

Authority and local signals

Mentions and links from outside, entries in relevant directories, consistency of company name, address and phone number. For providers around Zurich this often decides whether you appear in the map results. More on that in the article on local SEO in Zurich.

Visibility in AI search

Whether your brand is named as a source in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, whether AI crawlers have access, and whether your content is built so it can be cited. This part is still missing from most audits.

What you get

  • A list of measures sorted by impact relative to effort, not by chapter structure
  • For each point: what the problem is, why it hurts you and who can fix it
  • An assessment of which terms are within reach for you and which are not
  • A session where we walk through the findings, so the list does not disappear into a folder

If you want to see what gets checked before you decide, the full checklist is public in the article what belongs in an SEO audit.

Short analysis or full audit

The free short analysis runs from the outside and shows the biggest obvious blockers. It helps both sides judge whether more is worthwhile. The full audit works at page level, compares against competitors and ideally needs read access to Search Console and Analytics. It is quoted by scope at a fixed price. What drives the price of consulting in general is covered in the article on the cost of SEO consulting.

Who this is for

For SMEs, startups and marketing leads who want an honest assessment rather than a proposal that was already written before the analysis. Throughout, you talk to the consultant who also does the review.

Free short analysis. We look at your website technically, in terms of content and in AI search, and come back with the biggest levers. No obligation.

Frequently asked questions

What does an SEO audit cost?+
The short analysis is free and without obligation. A full audit is quoted by scope, because a 20-page website needs a different review than a shop with 4000 products. You get a fixed price up front, not an open hourly bill.
How long does an audit take?+
We usually deliver the free short analysis within a few working days. A full audit takes one to three weeks depending on the size of the site, including a session to walk through the findings.
Do you need access to my website?+
Not for the short analysis, that runs from the outside. For the full audit, read access to Google Search Console and Analytics helps a lot, because otherwise there is no way to judge which pages get impressions at all. It works without those accounts, but the conclusions get coarser.
What is the difference between the short analysis and the full audit?+
The short analysis shows the biggest obvious blockers and whether working together makes sense. The full audit goes deeper: page level, search intent per page, competitor comparison, internal linking and visibility in AI answers.
Do you also check whether ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews mention us?+
Yes, that is part of the audit. We check whether your brand appears as a source for the relevant questions, whether AI crawlers are allowed to read your site at all, and whether your content is built in a way that can be cited.
